Since i'm a religious person i haven't thought its christianity background of the word "confession". But you pointed very critical point. As you and i know (at least from movies :P), the confession in christianity is generally done in churches and at least a priest is required to forgive the sin of the one who confesses (which is not an option in our religion). I hope no christian priest has read my blog and forgave me :D... My confession is nothing to forgive :)...
